We LOVE giving exposure to independent artists
by including them in our broadcast. Want your
song played on radio.wazee? Here's how to
do it:
First, create your
entry in the Wazee Music Database. The
"wmd"
is a place for you to post information about
you/your band, upload songs, and allow radio.wazee
listeners to download and rate your music.
Before you shrug off the idea of posting your
tracks for download ... let me tell you that
I get TONS of email from wmd artists who get
contacted by wazee listeners every day wanting
to hear more! You have nothing to fear by
sharing your music in the wmd! If you absolutely
must, post a low bitrate (32k mono) version
of your song so you have SOMETHING online!
I demo songs for airplay from the wmd.
Want me to listen? Then post something for
me to listen to!
Next, once you've posted your bio and uploaded
some songs to the wmd,
head over to the wazee.forum
and pimp your badd self. Announce your new
wmd entry and
the songs you posted. Ask folks for their
feedback! Trust me, if you ask you'll get
it!
Now ... give it a few days for people to download
your songs and post their feedback. The folks
that program the wazee broadcast (uhm, that'd
be ME) keep a constant eye on the wmd
for new tracks to add to the playlist.
We publish a new playlist
report every week (usually on Saturday/Sunday).
I also post each week's "adds" in
the forum each week (FRESH
MEAT), new artists are also listed on our
home page.
The reality is that most of the songs added
to the wmd don't
get added to our playlist
... but many of them do. I hope yours is one
of them that does!
If you're with a label or are interested in more active promotion to wazee's listeners (CD giveaways, featured/homepage artist, banner ads, etc.) drop me a note to discuss ideas!
Love,
Howard
